BOSS CAT CLUB  BREEDING REGULATION

GENERAL  RESOLUTIONS


1. According to  BOSS Cat Club Regulation, on 16.06.2006 Club Authorities bring the breeding rules in , which are binding for all members of BOSS Cat Club.

2. Only  a cat with pedigree is a pure breed cat.  Pedigree  is a document of cat’s origin and has to be genetically correct.


3. The  purpose of breeding cats is scientifically based  aspiration to obtain the highest world standards of the breed, as well as wide popularization of pure bred cats .

4. Every club member is obliged to present his/ her breeding programm at the request of BOSS Cat Club Authorities at any time. Every  mating should be based on a basis to improve the breed and should be carefully directed.

5. Every club  member declared with entry into the union that possible cattery controls of two leading members or two commissioned members are carried out to the protection of the animals and without previous written order.

REGISTRATION OF CATS


1. Every cat registered in BOSS Cat Club  has to be formerly registered in an international feline association.


2. It is obligatory that every cat living in a cattery is registered in BOSS Cat Club.  The breeder is obliged to pass the  entry forms and copies of pedigrees of every cat to the BOSS Cat Club Breeding Comission. The Breeding Comission has the right to demand  to view the original pedigree  at any time without former notice.


3. All registered cats have to have all  necessary and valid vaccinations. All public studs have to have valid tests for Felv/ FIV.


4. In case of sale, rehoming or death of a cat, the owner is obliged to inform BOSS Cat Club Comission immediately.

 

QUEENS AND KITTENS IN CATTERY


1. It is strictly forbidden to mate a queen to a stud without pedigree or with pedigree but not registerd in any feline association, under  threat of immediate exclusion from the club.


2. A breeding queen cannot have any genetic or anatomical  defects and has to keep at least medium breed standard.


3. A breeding queen has to be at least 10 months  at the first mating. In particular veterinary proven cases the age can be marginally lowered. Breeding queens, which are 6 years old shall be excluded from the breeding, spayed and retired.


4. It is forbidden to mate the queen too often. A breeding queen must not have more than three litters in twenty-four months except with the prior written approval of a veterinarian and the FIFe Member. The minimum break between birth of litters has to be 6 months long.


5. It is forbidden to mate a queen to a closely related stud. It is highly recommended to choose a stud from foreign lines.

 6. The breeder is obliged to provide good living conditions for the breeding  queen and her kittens,  to make planned and controlled matings when queen is healthy and in very good condition.


7. The breeder is obliged to report all litters born in the cattery to the BOSS Cat Club Breeding Comission.


8. It is forbidden to hand over the kittens younger than 12 weeks to new owner, and not having full vaccination programm( two vaccines).


9. It is strictly forbidden to sell a kitten without pedigree, under  threat of immediate exclusion from the club and informing suitable feline association.


10. It is strictly forbidden to hand over or sell cats and kittens to petshops, or similar institutions, as well as  for scietific research, testing or experimental purposes. It is also not allowed for members of club to offer/trade cats or services, such as stud services, by auction or similar actions be it on electronic or actual events, under threat of immediate exclusion from the club and informing  suitable feline association.

11. Total separating or isolation of a queen, also keeping away from family life is not tolerated.

STUDS IN CATTERY


1. It is strictly forbidden to mate a  stud to a queen without pedigree or with pedigree but not registerd in any feline association, under threat of immediate exclusion from the club.


2. A  stud has to be  at least 10 months old at the first mating.


3. A stud cannot have any genetic or anatomical defects and has to keep at least medium breed standard.


4. A breeding stud has to have all necessry and valid vaccinations.  A public stud also has to have valid Felv/FIV tests. The breeder is obliged to send the copy of tests to BOSS Cat Club Breeding Comission.


5. The breeder is obliged to provide good living conditions for the stud, to make planned and controlled matings when stud is healthy and in very good condition. The room where the stud is kept has to be clean at all times.

Every cat has to have at least 6 square meters of floor and the minimum height of the room is 180 cm.  Total separating or isolation of a stud, also keeping away from family life is not tolerated.
